Tasting Notes
Longmorn 24 Year Old Single Cask 54954 Tasting Notes
Appearance: Old gold.
Nose: Intense vanilla flavours - massive sweetness - that fades to reveal toffee and apples. Sizzling lime juice, pineapples and mango. Water reveals tomatoes, blackcurrant bush leaves (a greener version of blackberries), gooseberries, and a little floral perfume.
Palate: Warm, intense lime cordial with ginger, orange marmalade and chilli peppers. Water doesn’t quite do as many favours here as it does to the nose. The lime notes endure along with grapefruit juice.
Finish: Citrus lingers, occasional custard, but a thumping oak note.
