An amazing recreation of the whisky that accompanied explorer Ernest Shackleton and his crew on their unsuccessful expedition to reach the South Pole. In 2010, five cases were dug up from the Antarctica, one of the malts was Mackinlay’s Highland Malt, a brand owned by Whyte & Mackay. Richard 'The Nose' Paterson was set to work to recreated this special find, faithfully reproducing the actual Mackinlay’s whisky taken from the ill-fated expedition.
