Arran Machrie Moor - Fifth Edition
Named after a peat bog located on the west coast of the Isle of Arran where bronze age stone circles and standing stones are strewn across the terrain, Machrie Moor is the peated release from Arran distillery, with a new limited edition released annually.
This, the fifth edition of Arran Machrie Moor is slightly different as this is the first of this series to be released at a peating level of 20PPM - (The fourth edition was 14PPM).
Arran Machrie Moor 5th Edition Producer Tasting Notes
Nose: Dried grass, peat smoke and hints of vanilla and tropical fruit.
Palate: Classic arran character of fresh pineapple and lemon skins. Biscuity, malty notes give depth.
Finish: Citrus fruits continue, with an extra punch of peat smoke on the long finish.
