Swedish Whisky

It's an exciting time for Swedish whisky with a number of Swedish whisky distilleries set to release their creations to the world over the coming years. With Sweden entering the EU in 1995 it paved the way for many distilleries to start production. There are now 9 distillery companies in Sweden, the oldest being Mackmyra which was formed in 1998, and the only one with a whisky on the market at present.
