GlenDronach Batch 7
GlenDronach distillery have announced the details of their next series of single casks whiskies, and again they all look very tasty indeed. And with a bit of luck, we should have these in stock just in time for Christmas!
Below are the details of what whiskies will be available as part of GlenDronach's batch 7, along with some tastings notes.

GlenDronach 1972 Single cask 710 / 40 Year Old / Oloroso Sherry Butt Distilled: 2nd March 1972 Bottled: 2012 Age: 40 Years Old Strength: 49% Cask Size & Type: Oloroso Sherry Butt Appearance: Rich bronze-mahogany. Nose: Beautiful spices, laced with chocolate orange, raisins and honey. Palate: Dark chocolate and fruit cake in harmony with raisins, figs, Demerara and loads of spices, layered with honey.
GlenDronach 1989 Single cask 5475 / 22 Year Old / Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon Distilled: 30th November 1989 Bottled: 2012 Age: 22 Year Old Strength: 51.6% Cask Size & Type: Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon Appearance: Deep bronze-gold. Nose: An orchestra in full flow - hazelnuts, raisins and dark chocolate - in total harmony. Palate: Fabulous combination of chocolate orange, hazelnuts and spices, followed by an avalanche of honey and Demerara.
GlenDronach 1991 Single cask 3183 / 20 Year Old / Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon Distilled: 15th November 1991 Bottled: 2012 Age: 20 Year Old Strength: 51.3% Cask Size & Type: Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon Appearance: Richly bronzed mahogany. Nose: An effusion of honeycomb, fruit cake and delicate spices. Palate: Sensational combination of honeycomb, fruit cake and spices, underlayered with chocolate-coated raisins and teasing notes of toffee apples.
GlenDronach 1992 Single cask 1123 / 19 Year Old / Oloroso Sherry Butt Distilled: 27th November 1992 Bottled: 2012 Age: 19 Year Old Strength: 57.8% Cask Size & Type: Oloroso Sherry Butt Appearance: Rich ruby-red with mahogany notes. Nose: Beautifully balanced aromas of Demarara, spices and chocolate raisins. Palate: Sensational combination of mocha, raisins and dark chocolate with a powerful presence of Demerara rum, fruitcake and toffee apples.
GlenDronach 1994 Single cask 98 / 18 Year Old / Oloroso Sherry Butt Distilled: 28th January 1994 Bottled: 2012 Age: 18 Year Old Strength: 58.2% Cask Size & Type: Oloroso Sherry Butt Appearance: Rich deep mahogany. Nose: A beautiful combination of heather, honey, hazelnuts, Demerara sugar and dates. Palate: A sensational mix of spices, chocolate orange, heather honey and toffee apples.
