Benromach Origins is a series of special bottlings crafted to highlight how small changes in the art of whisky making can help shape the character of the final single malt.
The fifth release in the series has been created using the finest Golden Promise Barley. Distilled 2005, bottled 2013 with a phenol level of 12ppm.

70cl / 50% / 1st Fill American Oak Sherry Casks
Nose: Young & fresh, barley with a very slight hint of smoke & peat, squashed golden delicious apples, vanilla, malty notes.
Palate: Citrus fruit (lemon), wet grass, peat, pepper (white), hints of chilli, granny smith apples, wet ashtray, wood, smoke & toasted notes.
Finish: Smoke & oak coats the mouth well.
Overall: A good Benromach, enjoyed, would definitely go back for more.
