Single Cask (& Scotch Single Malt) of the Year 2016!
To this day Glenfarclas is one of only a few distilleries in Scotland to remain family owned and managed. Now in the hands of the fifth and sixth generation of the family, the Grants remain committed to the vision of creating the best quality single Highland malt Scotch whisky, in the traditional Speyside style.
This single cask from Glenfarclas distillery, cask 2110 from 1957, recently scooped two awards in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2016; Single Cask of the Year and Scotch Single Malt of the Year, scoring a huge 96.5 out of 100!
This stunning Glenfarclas single cask was released as part of the Spring 2015 Family Casks range. Distilled in 1957 and left to mature in single sherry hogshead cask #2100 for approximately 57 years!
A mere 159 bottles of this mighty dram were filled at cask strength, 50.3% vol.
