Released in 2017, Ardbeg An Oa is the first addition to the distilleries core range in almost a decade and is named after the Mull of Oa, situated at the end of the Oa peninsula, the most southerly point of Islay. Several cask types used to create this latest release, including; sweet Pedro Ximenez; spicy virgin charred oak; and intense ex-bourbon casks, all married together in a new and bespoke large oak cask named, 'Gathering Vat'.
