This peaty little number was bottled by Independent Scotch whisky bottlers, Elixir Distillers for their Reserve Cask series. Distilled in 2010 at the Caol Ila distillery and matured 12 years, this 10th parcel was created by combining 5 recharred wine casks then bottled at 48% vol.
Tasting Notes

Nose
Rich BBQ smoke and sticky BBQ sauce are tempered by saline notes, reminiscent of wakame seaweed and a hint of tropical juice.
Palate
Rich and unctuous in texture. Spanish cured meets with balsamic dressing sit alongside flavours of honeydew melon and watermelon.
Finish
The peat smoke is dark and brooding in the finish with some lovely wood spice and linseed oil.
