This luxurious 50 year old Speyside single malt was distilled Tuesday 17th February 1970 and spent it's entire life slowly maturing in a first fill American hogshead. Bottled Wednesday 4th November 2020 and released by Gordon & MacPhail as part of the prestigious Private Collection range.
The colour on this Craigellachie is incredible, only 13 decanters have been filled from cask #1610 at 44.7% vol.

Craigellachie 50 Year Old Cask 1610 Producer Notes
Colour: Dark amber.
Aroma: sweet toffee aromas lead to soft milk chocolate and toasted oak. hints of red apple come to the fore alongside subtle salted caramel.
Taste: smooth and fresh mint flavours combine with watermelon and subtle sweet tobacco. a hint of beeswax polish leads to dark honey and toasted almond.
Finish: a medium finish with cracked black pepper which softens to mature oak and lingering aniseed.
