Glenallachie Cask 900854 Producer Notes
This sherry butt shows a perfect meeting of wood and distillate; with the nose offering notes of rich toffee and dried fruit from the cask, mingling with fresh green fruit and citrus from the distillate. The palate gives more buttery toffee, Dundee cake and bags of wood spice. The finish is pleasantly drying, giving a lingering flavour of dates and prunes. A superlative sherry butt, ideal for sipping while contemplating life’s complexities.

“Like walking through the streets of Marrakesh, this gives sun baked earth, leather, Moroccan spices, dates dipped in rich chocolate and nutty overtones of freshly chopped hazelnuts drizzled with honey. Who needs travel with whisky this evocative?”
