The Friar John Cor series continues with this the second release in this magnificent story from Lindores Abbey distillery. The Friar John Cor Chapter 2 has been crafted from Lowland single malt matured in a combination of bourbon, STR and peated Rum casks. Bottled at natural cask strength, without additional colouring or chill-filtration.
This latest limited edition release from Lindores Abbey distillery was released in celebration of Friar John Cor, who in 1494 was commissioned by King James IV to turn 8 bolls of malt into Aqua Vitae, which is said to be the earliest known written reference to the production of what we now call whisky!
