Miltonduff 33 Year Old - 1990 | Cask 3809 | Exceptional Casks (Berry Bros & Rudd)
Sold out
An absolute delightful, old and rare Miltonduff bottled by wine and spirits merchant, Berry Bros & Rudd for their Exceptional Casks series. Distilled in 1990, this rare Speyside single malt was left to mature in single hogshead cask #3809 for over 33 years then finally cracked open and filled to bottled in 2023. Bottled at natural cask strength, without colouring or chill filtration with only 243 bottles surviving the angel's share. An absolute gem of a dram.
Tasting Notes
Awards
Nose
This elegant Speyside dram gently rises from the glass with soft notes of coconut, warm malt loaf and stewed, spiced apples. A little time in the glass brings out candied pecans and peach skin.
Palate
The palate is wonderfully fresh and vibrant with spice, soft fruit, citrus and honey. There is a perfect balance of subtle oak and fresh, peach-driven distillate.
Finish
Once again, we are reminded there is no substitute for long maturation in a delicate refill cask.
