An independent, single cask release from Paul John distillery, India! Distilled in 2015 from barley grown in the foothills of the Himalaya mountains along with Scottish peat, then matured in cask #6414 for 6 years. Bottled by Wine & Spirits Merchant, Berry Bros & Rudd for the Spring Release 2022 collection, only 160 bottles have been filled at 58.9% vol.

Nose
An example of Paul John’s heavily peated make matured full term in India. The nose offers a whack of peat smoke and vanilla, but with time in the glass an alluring fruitiness appears offering underripe mango and a little banana.
Palate
This theme continues on the palate as powerful peat smoke dominates the tastebuds, before a much more complex picture appears showing marmalade, baking spice and some buttery shortbread.
Finish
A dram that demands attention from even the most ardent Islay devotee.
