Isle of Raasay Na Sia Single Cask 19/543 - Chinkapin Unpeated (With Branded Tasting Glass)
This special single cask was released as part of the Na Sia Single Cask Collection from Isle of Raasay distillery, a six cask collection of drams showcasing the casks used to create the single malt produced at the distillery on Raasay.
This single cask release was distilled 31st May 2019 using un-peated spirit then laid to rest in Chinkapin cask #19/543 for 5 years, 0 months and 23 days! Bottled in 2024 at 61.4% vol. Na Sia translates to 'The Six' in Gaelic.
For their excellent single malt the distillery combines peated and un-peated spirits in ex-rye whiskey, chinkapin oak and ex-Bordeaux red wine casks. This is a fantastic opportunity to sample Isle of Raasay single malt matured in one of their single cask maturation choices used at the distillery. This is part of their unpeated single casks released for the UK retailers in 2024, with the 3 peated casks coming later this year.
