Distilled at the Glen Moray distillery, this latest addition comes from indie bottler, Chorlton Whisky. Bottled from a leaky ex-bourbon barrel after 16 years maturation, only 116 bottles were filled at cask strength, 52.2% vol. An elegant and fruity dram, filled to bottle at natural colour and un-chillfiltered.
Tasting Notes
Awards
Nose
The nose is softly waxy, with apple rings, dessert wine, banana and custard, sponge fingers, spearmint, thyme and citrussy hops.
Palate
The palate is super-clean and precise, with lemon oil, barley sugar, spearmint, mirabelle syrup, banana bread and candied peel.
Finish
A properly classy drop, this, from a distillery that’s still often criminally underrated.
