A very exciting release as this is the first batch of single malt from Raasay distillery, created from peated and unpeated Raasay spirit matured in a combination of high Rye whiskey, chinkapin oak and Bordeaux red wine casks. The whole process of this very special malt has been processed on the Isle of Raasay, distilled, matured and bottled along with using water from the local well, which is named, Tobar na Ba Bàine, which translates to the Well of the Pale Cow! A lightly peated single malt, well balanced with rich dark fruit flavours.
