Created using the same recipe as the flagship 'Dream to Dram' bottling, this is the first release in the Family Reserve series. Distilled using Fife barley and matured in two types of wood, first fill bourbon barrels and shaved, toasted and re-charred wine casks. Married in cask for a further two months before being released at 59.2% vol.
Tasting Notes
Kingsbarns Family Reserve 2020 Producer Notes
Nose: A strong floral note of jasmine and honeysuckle. Honeyed mango, vanilla saffron custard, banana, wine gums and strawberry fondant.
Palate: Sugary shortbread, exotic fruits such as mango and papaya. Coconut chips changes to a more astringent and complex oak spice.
Finish: Intense yet fruity, oaky spice.
