Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling
This limited edition single malt whisky from Macallan Distillery was released to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, 2012. A very fine detail has gone into the creation of this unique and special bottling. The liquid has been specially chosen for the months it was drawn from the casks, 6th February, the Queen' accession, and the first week in June, traditionally when the Jubilees are celebrated. A sherry cask with only 2012 bottles released, bottled at 52%, which is also in line with the year of the Queen's accession.
The packaging was designed by Art Director David Holmes, who also designed the Macallan Royal Marriage bottling. The ceramic brooch which sits so beautifully on top of the bottles label was one of a series of effigies created by Arnold Machin OBE RA. You may recognise it from British postal stamps. The distinctive image, depicted here on a product for the first and only time.
