Tasting Notes
Overeem Batch 1 Tasting Notes
Nose: Vanilla pod, fig, elderflower and greengages - all very fresh. Touches of milky coffee and nostalgic whispers of pencil shavings develop. Something subtly meaty to it too, with hints of five-spice powder.
Palate: Marvellously creamy, velvet-y mouthfeel, with lots white fruit up front. This is backed up by more exotic spices, hints of anise and toasted barley.
Finish: Ripe plum and cooling vanilla finish it off.
Overall: A terrific Tasmanian whisky - it's easy to see why everyone is talking about it nowadays.
