Presenting Lindores cask 591, our latest Abbey Whisky Exclusive. You might recall our recent Friday Focus feature about our visit to Lindores Abbey Distillery with its historical connection to whisky. We were so impressed with the work going on at the distillery and the quality of the spirit being produced that when presented with the opportunity to bottle our own cask, we jumped at the chance. Nose
Lovely and rich, nutty, hazelnut and walnuts, dark ginger chocolate, dried fruit, boozy marmalade, cinnamon. Slight mint note in the background along with a touch of vanilla.
Palate
Robust, oily with lovely warm spice. Nice and jammy, an array of black winter fruits, black pepper, cherry, dark chocolate, orange zest, mint and warm spice once again.
Finish
Coats the mouth for a long time. Superb. Tingly spice, dried fruit. Tremendous. Away to pour another one!
