A 12 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, released as part of the Virgin Oak Series from Glenallachie distillery. Initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels (Quercus Alba) then given an extra maturation for around 18 months in specially selected Spanish virgin oak casks, sourced from the Galicia and Asturias regions, which have a cooler climate and greater humidity - these casks were air dried for around 18 months for being filled with GlenAllachie single malt.
