One of two special single casks released as part of The Comparison Series from Kilchoman distillery, launched Spring 2021. Single cask #719 was distilled in 2012 using the 2011 harvest of publican malt grown at the distillery, peated to 20PPM and matured in a Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel for 8 years. The other cask in this series, cask #726 (sold separately), was distilled from Port Ellen malt peated to a level of 50PPM and also matured in a bourbon barrel for 8 years.
The comparison series from Kilchoman was created to showcase the different qualities from single casks produced at the distillery. To enjoy this series as it's been designed, each single cask should be enjoyed side by side.
Tasting Notes
Kilchoman Comparison Series - Cask 719
Nose: Light and floral with fresh citrus notes.
Palate: A lovely balance of lemon and citrus and a hint of saltiness on the back of the palate.
Finish: Mouth coating with a light lingering finish
