A new limited edition release from Lindores Abbey distillery, released in celebration of Friar John Cor, who in 1494 was commissioned by King James IV to turn 8 bolls of malt into Aqua Vitae, which is said to be the earliest known written reference to the production of what we now call whisky! The Friar John Cor Chapter 1 has been crafted from Lowland single malt matured in a combination of bourbon, Monbazillac, STR and sherry casks. The addition of the Monbazillac adds a complexity and sweetness to the classic Lindores single style.

Pleasant medium to long with sweet honey, subtle spices and nutty.
