Incredibly popular back in the 70's & 80's Michter's Original Sour Mash actually disappeared from the market in 1989! Resurrected in 2012 as Michter's US*1 Sour Mash, the whiskey is created in small batches using the Michter's classic sour mash method. Small quantities of the previous fermented mash is used to start the new mash, it's then further mellowed by a signature filtration.
