Handcrafted at the Old Hobart distillery, Tasmania and matured in a ex-sherry French oak barrels that have been cut down and remade into 100 litre quarter casks. The smaller casks mature the spirit quicker but also allows for more contact with the wood resulting in a more intense and concentrated flavour. Bottled at 43%, a big and wonderful sherried dram from Australia.

Overeem Sherry Cask Matured Official Tasting Notes
Brighter in colour on the eye than its port counterpart and carrying the aromas on the nose of chocolate ice‑cream, vanilla, spiced apple pie and plump raisins.
On the palate, tastes include cinnamon, roasted nuts, dried fruit, star anise, clove, soft caramel and vibrant blood orange. Lingering notes of dark chocolate and sherry infused dried fruits create the perfect long finish.
