Tasting Notes
Port Charlotte Batch 1 Tasting Notes
Nose: Bacon crisps develop into touches of BBQ char the longer it's in the glass. Sea salt, oatcakes and a very light touch of TCP. Sweetness arrives after a minute with lemon balm and blackberry.
Palate: Sweetness appears more readily here with notes of rock candy, white grape and double cream. Hot peat persists with a hint of cracked black pepper.
Finish: Continued oatcake with a sweet edge to it on the finish.
Overall: Intense but elegant - top quality Islay whisky here. Don't miss out.
